Cubs general manager Carter Hawkins is no longer in the mix for the Nationals top baseball operations position, reports . Hawkins is expected to remain in Chicago, where hell continue to work as the teams #2 executive under baseball operations president Jed Hoyer. Hawkins reportedly interviewed with the Nats a couple weeks ago. He was viewed as one of the top candidates for the position.
