The Surveyor ARC is a large, fully plated, rolling ARC. It's designed for reconnaissance. When you see one, it'll stop and send out a brightly colored signal. The window that appears is not merely a decorative element: it is the time when the machine is actively relaying players' locations to nearby arc raiders trading.

 If left unattended, a surveyor will tend to disengage itself and start rolling away. When cornered, the Surveyor will engage in a high speed charge that can easily flatten anyone who is in its way. Treat it first as a skirmisher, and then only if forced into a fight.

 The Surveyor Behavior and its Critical Weak Window

 Surveyor in scan phase: stops, opens, and transmits. During the window, its core is exposed.

 Flee Priority: Once damaged, it tries to escape and resets for another transmission cycle.

 Charge attack - if the escape route is blocked, or you are in its way, then it will roll at high speed.

 Armor shedding occurs when the armor takes damage. The panels fall to the ground and can be looted.

 Tip: Block escape routes first before committing any damage. Heavy rounds and grenades can strip metal faster than standard ammo.

 Wait for blue-beam transmission, then focus on the exposed core. The highest damage window is at this point.

 Use explosives or heavy ammo early to blow off the armor, then switch to sustained shooting on the core.

 Anticipate the Escape Roll: Rotate one of your players ahead of the path that is most likely to be taken by it.

 When the attacker charges, roll to the side or break your line of view. Do not reverse backwards in a straight path.

 Note: In some cases, a surveyor can be rolled off ledges by fleeing. Avoid being bulldozed into the edge of cliffs or catwalks. Also, secure any items that may fall.

 Expect loots and XP

 Both main and smaller debris is dropped by the surveyor. As armor breaks, the panels that remain on the ground become lootable. Surveyor Vaults are rare and can be found on either debris or top tier.

 The XP awards are straight forward: 200 XP upon destroying the unit. 300 XP on looting its core, and 100 for every additional part.

 The Surveyor Vault can be found in destroyed Surveyors. This item can be found on ARC Couriers. Depending on if you're selling it for credits or for components, you can either sell the product as-is or deconstruct it to create crafting materials.

 Processing results are fixed and simple.

 Vaults are a great buy for credits if your materials are low and you don't need any parts. Since armor panels will drop wherever they are discarded, you can do a full lap around the fighting area once the Surveyor falls.

 The Surveyor is not so much a boss as a moving object: you must catch it while it's transmitting, punish its core and then claim the panels that are scattered. You must quickly decide whether you will bank credits, or convert them into the components that you need.
